Job Title: Employment Program Coordinator (Part-Time)

Department: Refugee

Schedule: 9am-1pm

Job Summary: The Employment Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Refugee Program Manager for services that include employment preparation, placement, career enhancement services, and follow-up services.


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct clients Recruitment and Employer Outreach
  • Provide intake and assessment to clients eligible for employment services
  • Create and manage files for each client
  • Develop employment work plans for clients
  • Work with each client individually on resumes, job applications, and preparation for a job orientation or interview
  • Assist with facilitating employability workshops and evaluating outcomes
  • Monitor clients’ job performance, wage level, and employer/employee satisfaction
  • Assist clients and employers as necessary with post placement issues and continuing employment needs
  • Determining specific employment opportunities appropriate for clients and assisting clients in accessing these opportunities by guiding them through the hiring process and other areas when needed
  • Assisting other department members when needed



  • Undergraduate degree is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with the US job search process and the ability to coach clients effectively through the process of securing employment
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English
  • Bilingual ability in Arabic or French is strongly desired
  • Proven success in achieving goals and working effectively with all levels of staff in a team environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a multicultural environment and able to communicate effectively with limited English speakers
  • Computer literacy required, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)



  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance, and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area
  • US work authorization required
