Kyle Murphy was raised in Cumming, Georgia as the oldest of two children. He attended the University of North Georgia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science with a major in general studies with concentrations in Spanish, psychology, and physical education. Kyle then went on to obtain a master’s degree in public health from the University of Georgia.
Kyle has worked in both the non-profit sector and higher education as an advocate for diverse populations. He worked as a Bilingual Enrollment Specialist for a local non-profit whose mission centers on providing one-on-one mentoring to youth in the Metro Atlanta area. He has also worked as a volunteer with various local non-profit organizations.
Kyle currently works at a local university, advising multiple student organizations for diverse students and providing DEI training on campus. He also serves as the Board Chairperson for GA Familias Unidas, where he strives to serve as an advocate for essential workers and their rights in an effort to improve his local community
