Ruperto Gonzalez
COMMUNITY ORGANIZER
Ruperto González has been the community organizer for Gwinnett County since August 2024. He joined Galeo in 2022 as a canvasser for Delakb County. Ruperto was born in Venezuela, 5 years ago, he emigrated with his family to the United States and has lived in Atlanta since then. He is a sociologist, a graduate of the Central University of Venezuela, an organizational coach certified by the International Association of Coaching (IAC) with master’s studies in Managerial Coaching at the Caribbean International University of Curacao, he is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP), from the Institute of Higher Studies in Administration (IHSA) in Venezuela.
From a young age, he was always involved in community sociocultural development activities. In his professional experience, he has worked as a coordinator of sociocultural programs, a university professor, and a human resources manager for different private companies. In the electoral area, he worked at the National Electoral Council (NEC), as executive director of the rectorship of the prominent rector, Vicente Diaz, director in charge of the Commission for Political Participation and Financing (COPAFI) and member of the board of directors of the Institute of Advanced Studies of Electoral Power (IAEPE).
He likes working at GALEO, because, in this way, he contributes to the development of the Hispanic community in Georgia and promotes voting, which is a fundamental human right.
He is a fan of the Atlanta Braves and likes the beach, movies, and dancing. He loves spending time with his family, and when he has time, he plays the flute and goes scuba diving. His motto is, “Make things happen and persevere until you achieve them.”
