\u00bf<\/strong>Qu\u00e9 necesita saber?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un juicio pol\u00edtico es un delito, o traici\u00f3n contra los Estados Unidos que tambi\u00e9n puede significar que han puesto en duda la integridad de los Estados Unidos. El proceso t\u00edpico resulta en el reemplazo de un pol\u00edtico de la oficina. Para poder empezar un juicio pol\u00edtico debe de haber una raz\u00f3n adecuada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El proceso es dirigido por el congreso de los Estados Unidos, que consiste de 535 miembros. La Casa de Representantes contiene a 435 representantes y el Senado tiene a 100 senadores. Durante los procedimientos, La Casa de Representantes inicia el juicio, y el Senado hace la decisi\u00f3n final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Proceso<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Primero, una petici\u00f3n es empezada por La Casa de Representantes. Durante la petici\u00f3n una investigaci\u00f3n es comenzada para analizar las acusaciones. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Durante la investigaci\u00f3n se re\u00fane evidencia, testigos, y m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n sobre el presidente.<\/li>
    2. Una vez que la investigaci\u00f3n es completada y toda la informaci\u00f3n es reunida, la Casa determina si seguir\u00e1 con la petici\u00f3n. Si deciden proceder con la petici\u00f3n, todos votan para determinar si la petici\u00f3n pasar\u00e1 al Senado. Un voto de peque\u00f1a mayor\u00eda (m\u00e1s de 50% del voto) es requerido para que la petici\u00f3n salga de la casa y llegue al Senado.<\/li>
    3. Ya que la petici\u00f3n llega al Senado, hay un juicio para condenar o absolver al presidente.
      1. Para poder condenar al presidente debe de haber un voto de dos tercios. <\/li>
      2. Si un presidente es removido de la oficina presidencial, el vice presidente toma cargo. <\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        \u00bf<\/strong>Ha habido un juicio pol\u00edtico antes?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Ha habido cuatro instantes en donde han habido peticiones para un juicio pol\u00edtico contra un presidente. El procedimiento contra Nixon, el presidente n\u00famero 37, nunca se formaliz\u00f3 porque renuncio antes de que pudieran empezar un juicio pol\u00edtico. Un juicio pol\u00edtico fue iniciado contra Andrew Johnson y Bill Clinton pero no fueron condenados y cumplieron su t\u00e9rmino presidencial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Actualmente<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Actualmente hay una investigaci\u00f3n contra el presidente Donald Trump por su colaboraci\u00f3n con Ucrania, e intento de presionar al presidente de Ucrania para conseguir ayuda en una investigaci\u00f3n.  La petici\u00f3n fue aceptada y pasada por la casa el 31 de Octubre del 2019. El juicio pol\u00edtico fue iniciado con un voto de 232 a 196. Si el juicio termina en una convicci\u00f3n, Trump ser\u00e1 removido como presidente y no ser\u00e1 elegible para otro t\u00e9rmino presidencial. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        ENGLISH: The Impeachment Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Important to know<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Impeachment is \u201ca charge of treason or another crime against the state,\u201d or \u201ca charge of misconduct made against the holder of a public office.\u201d The impeachment process results in the removal of the public official from office. There must be an adequate reason to start an impeachment inquiry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The impeachment process is led by Congress which consists of 535 members. The House has 435 representatives and the Senate has 100 senators. During impeachment proceedings the House will initiate impeachment inquiry, and the Senate will make the decision on the impeachment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. First, an impeachment  inquiry is launched by the House. An impeachment inquiry, under which investigation of the actions of the accused, are further investigated.
          1. During the investigation process, they gather evidence, witnesses, and more information about the president.<\/li>
          2. Once the investigation is complete and all the information is gathered, the House determines if they will move forward with the inquiry. If  they decide to move forward with the inquiry, the entire house votes to determine if the impeachment will move forward to the senate. A small majority vote (which means \u201cmore than 50% of the vote\u201d)  is required.<\/li><\/ol><\/li>
          3. Once the impeachment reaches the senate, there is a trial held to either convict or acquit the president.
            1. In order to convict the president there must be a two-thirds vote.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Has there ever been an impeachment?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              There have been 4 times in which an impeachment inquiry was launched for the presidency. Nixon\u2019s impeachment proceedings which were not formalized because he resigned before an impeachment could officially be launched. Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were also impeached but were not removed from office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Currently<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Currently there is an impeachment inquiry being launched against Donald Trump because of  his attempt to pressure the Ukranian President to help with an investigation. The impeachment inquiry was passed by the House on October 31st, 2019 with a vote of 232 to 196. If  the impeachment trial results in a conviction, Trump will be removed from office and will not be able to run for reelection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
