Summer 2006 Interns

Soumya Kantamneni

Soumya Kantamneni is a third year undergraduate at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA.  She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Spanish and Communications.  She will be studying International Law at Oxford University in England for her junior year and upon graduating from Oglethorpe, she will go on to attend law school and ultimately pursue a career in International Law.  She is currently President of the OU International Club, President Pro-Tempore of the OU Student Government Association and is a very active volunteer in her community.  Soumya is also an avid world traveler, having previously traveled to 19 countries thus far and hopes to pursue volunteer work in Latin America in the near future.

Stephanie Malak

Stephanie Malak is a rising senior at Emory University. She is pursuing a B.A. with majors in International Studies and Spanish. She studied Spanish language and politics while abroad in Salamanca, Spain and will study the role of international organization in Geneva, Switzerland during the Fall Semester 2006. She enjoys learning and tutoring languages and serves as a Spanish peer tutor at Emory and as an ESOL tutor through SHINE (Students Helping in the Naturalization of Elders). After graduation, Stephanie would like to apply for an international grant to teach English abroad and then return for graduate school focusing on international relations.
