Ruperto Gonzalez
Community Organizer
Ruperto González has been the community organizer for Gwinnett County since August 2024 and joined Galeo in 2022 as a canvasser for DeKalb County. Originally from Venezuela, he moved to the United States five years ago and has lived in Atlanta since then. A sociologist with a Master’s in Managerial Coaching, Ruperto is also an organizational coach certified by the International Association of Coaching. He has a diverse background, having worked as a coordinator of sociocultural programs, a university professor, and a human resources manager. Additionally, he has experience in electoral work, having served at Venezuela’s National Electoral Council. He is passionate about helping the Hispanic community in Georgia and promoting voting rights. Outside of work, Ruperto enjoys the beach, movies, dancing, family time, and hobbies like playing the flute and scuba diving. His personal motto is, “make things happen and persevere until you achieve them.”
