Andy Santamaria (He/Him/Él) is a Salvadorian-American Community Organizer for GALEO. He is from Los Angeles, California. Andy graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and received a Certificate of Nonprofit Program Management from Georgia Center for Nonprofits. He was an AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow where he spent one year in Georgia and one year in California solving poverty through technology. Andy enjoys hiking around the mountain trails of Georgia and camping at the beach. With over three years of experience, Andy has committed his actions to address issues of public concern within the Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities while working with the homeless population in Greater Atlanta, serving veterans, domestic violence survivors, and families with children.
