Bruno Castellanos has joined us as the new County Field Coordinator for Dekalb County. Bruno was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico but grew up in the United States since he was two years old. When his family first arrived, they briefly stayed in the Roswell area, but within months moved to the Marietta and Kennesaw area, and that’s where his family planted its roots.

Bruno, also a D.A.C.A. recipient, is in the process of obtaining his degree in Political Science. It is his journey through and understanding of the systems and bureaucracies that have fueled his passion for enhancing and advancing civic engagement participation within our communities, especially within the Latino communities all across Georgia.

He endeavors to ensure that the sacrifices of his family members are honored by making sure that he serves, to the best of his abilities, those that might need help and are traversing through similar experiences as he once did.

A goal of Bruno’s is to one day represent his community and state at the local or federal level.
