EL INSTITUTO GALEO PARA EL LIDERAZGO LANZA SU PROGRAMA 2022

ATLANTA, GA – Today, the GALEO Institute for Leadership begins applications for their 2022 program. With over 700 alumni, the GIL program strives to prepare knowledgeable, skilled, empowered, and action-oriented leaders. Participants from diverse backgrounds and perspectives collaborate together to understand themselves and their role as community leaders while improving their existing leadership skills.  These skills include: valuing and utilizing diversity, understanding group dynamics, effective communication, conflict management, decision making, collaboration, and an understanding of the political and social realities of Georgia.  These skills are taught by qualified facilitators using a curriculum from the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership at the University of Georgia.

Elizabeth Silva, Program Coordinator for Leadership Development at GALEO, stated that “As our Latinx-Hispanic communities continue to grow, our organization has the responsibility to prepare leaders that showcase the best of our communities. GALEO takes pride in spearheading said effort! Because of this, we will provide sessions, workshops, and activities to strengthen their ties as colleagues while learning about themselves as an individual.”

The GALEO Institute for Leadership will be accepting applications until early January. Apply to the 2022 program here:
