Join GALEO for the 2026 Leyendas Essay Contest! This contest is open to high school students and adults; submissions are welcome in both Spanish and English.
The Leyendas Essay Contest is an opportunity to share your voice and celebrate the perseverance and courage of farmworkers and Latinx trailblazers. You’ll choose from topics like farmworker organizing, Latinx leaders, nonviolence, and the impact of women in the farmworker rights movement.
