Salma Vizcaino Garcia is GALEO’s community organizer for the metro Atlanta area, a region encompassing Dekalb, Cobb, and Gwinnett counties. She graduated from Agnes Scott College (ASC) with a double major in Biology and History in 2020. As a Dreamer, or beneficiary of the DACA program, she understands the importance of supporting marginalized and underrepresented groups through education and resource sharing. During her time at ASC, she helped found an organization on campus that provided advocacy and education for immigrant communities, a passion that has stayed with her past graduation and followed her into this role at GALEO.
