Alexandra Bruno was born and raised in Miami, Florida, to a Dominican father and Guatemalan mother. Alexandra Bruno brings a deep commitment to culture, community, and equity to her role as Program Coordinator for Leadership Development at GALEO. A bilingual educator and engagement leader, Alexandra has dedicated 17 years to strengthening leadership pathways, expanding civic participation, and supporting immigrant families across diverse communities.
Alexandra’s career spans education, nonprofit leadership, and community advocacy. Before joining GALEO, she served in various roles supporting youth, families, and immigrant communities in both Miami and Gwinnett County, contributing to initiatives that strengthened educational access, community engagement, and leadership development.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies & Psychology and a Master of Science in Education Administration from Saint Thomas University in Miami. Alexandra is currently a graduate social work student at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), where she is deepening her commitment to social justice, community empowerment, and equitable access to resources.
Rooted in her Miami upbringing and Latino heritage, Alexandra remains active in organizations advancing equity and civic engagement, including the National Association of Social Workers, the NAACP Gwinnett Chapter, GALEO, and the Latino Association of Atlanta. Her work reflects a lifelong dedication to uplifting communities, amplifying Latino voices, and building inclusive spaces where families and future leaders can thrive.
