Maria Fernanda (Marifer) Vizcaino Garcia

PROGRAM MANAGER FOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Maria Fernanda (Marifer) Vizcaino Garcia is the Program Manager for Leadership Development at GALEO. She graduated summa cum laude from Kennesaw State University in 2018- something she initially did not believe would be possible as a DACA recipient. She majored in Political Science and minored in International Affairs at the School of Government and International Affairs. Before transitioning to GALEO, Maria worked as a paralegal for 6 years. As a former cohort member of the 2021 GALEO Institute for Leadership, she was inspired to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Administration by her experiences in the program.  She graduated from Georgia State University’s nationally recognized MPA program in May 2025. Maria remains deeply committed to advancing leadership development and expanding access to opportunities for underserved and immigrant communities across Georgia.
