GALEO ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF THE 2024 LEYENDAS ESSAY CONTEST
(Atlanta, Georgia) – Today, GALEO proudly announced the winners of the 2024 Leyendas Essay Contest. The organization celebrates all the submissions that uplifted the work of farmworkers and social justice activists of the Latinx communities and other marginalized communities. The winners of this year essay contest are:
Adult Category:
1st Place: Tania Lopez
2nd Place: Kimberly Meraz Fuentes
3rd Place: Sherly Alvorado
High School Category:
1st Place: Aidan Gao
2nd Place: Carter Baughman
3rd Place: Daniela Zurita Lopez
The winners will be commemorated at our Essay Readings event at the Georgia State Capitol, room 216, on April 12th, 2024 at 11:30 am. RSVP here.
