GALEO ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF THE 2023 CESAR CHAVEZ CONTEST
Today, GALEO proudly announced the winners of the 2023 Annual Cesar Chavez Essay Contest. The organization celebrates all the submissions that uplifted the work of farmworkers and social justice activists of the Latinx communities and other marginalized communities. The winners of this year essay contest are:
High School Category:
1st Place: Garner Crow
2nd Place: Nathan Musierowicz
3rd Place: Charlie Burdell
The winners will be commemorated at our annual Cesar Chavez Day at the Capitol.
Alejandro Chavez, Deputy Director of GALEO & grandson of activist Cesar Chavez, will be the keynote speaker for Cesar Chavez Day at the Capitol.
Cesar Chavez Day at the Capitol will take place at the Georgia State Capitol Room 125 on March 31st, 2023 at 11:00 am. All are welcome to attend.
